It May Ruin My Life

I am suspected to have endometriosis because the doc found some pretty big cysts that looks like endometrium tissue.Considering how much pain I have during my period and after it ends
it may seem pretty accurate that it is endometriosis.
I feel like my whole world is going to end if this diagnosis would turn out to be true.
I just have to take an MRI and consult another doctor specialised in endometriosis that would be able to confirm my worsest fear. And I just feel I can't cope with this and I wonder why is this happening to me? I had symptoms for years but I never did a check up only when I rushed couple months ago to the ER room because I felt that I was going to die of pain.I am really scared to be honest because I am not ready to deal with this disease. :(
And the final part that terrifies me for good is that I may become infertile I could never have kids.
To be honest I always wanted to have my own family to get married and have a baby but this dream may never become true.

Adult man here.
Years ago an intimate friend of mine had very high levels of discomfort associated with her periods; her issue ended up being fibroids, not endo. Another woman I knew had endo. She let me watch the video of her own endoscopic surgery to battle endo by using lasers to zap the tissue. SHe never watched it herself; very freaky stuff.

As far as those two issues are concerned, my belief is that endo. is where uterine lining tissue grows outside of the uterus, while fibroids is something like unfertilized eggs actually dividing on their own.

Both creepy things indeed. Fibroid woman had her uterus removed in the traditional surgical way through the abdomen, so the post-op lasted quite a while. The thing that was difficult for her husband and me was that since she no longer had periods, but still had a cycle (until menopause) we did not have an easy handle to put on her mood swings.

I know how important having children is to women, especially when they feel that they wont be able to experience that. But knowing women who have had both issues, my gut feeling is that endo is not as likely to lead to infertility as fibroids.
