Girl Business

I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan. My father was an immigrant from central Russia and my mother from Kiev. My father is a very dominant man, he was 48 when I was born and my mother was 40, I am an only child.

The community where we lived had a school and all the children worked on the farms. In grade 10 our teacher had us become pen pals. My pen pal was a man from Australia. A prisoner. Over time I fell in love with him and in grade 12 I ran away from home, stole money from my parents, rode the bus to Vancouver and meant to buy a ticket to Australia.

On the bus an old man felt me up and fucked me in the men's washroom at a stop on the way. I got back on the bus, he didn't. I kept this to myself, embarrassed maybe. When I got to Vancouver I didn't have any money left and I sold myself to men. Another runaway introduced me to a man who had me sterilized and put me to work in an oilfield camp in northern Alberta, dancing and prostitution.

I met an Australian man, he drove a truck, and I ran away with him. We moved to Calgary where he worked as a truck driver, and mechanic. I worked as a prostitute. I went back for my father's funeral. When my mother died I inherited the farm, which was sold for a small sum. We used that money to open our first strip club. Today we have three. It's a good business, we do not use underage girls. What the girls do when they aren't dancing is their business.
