My neighbors are morons who leave their garage filled with crap and are forced to park their cars in the street, yet still won't get off their collective asses and spend a Saturday cleaning said garage to put their cars inside. They were also stupid enough to overpay for their house and are now upside down. It will be YEARS before their house is even worth what they paid for it. I feel so sorry for them, NOT! Why is it the people who think they're so fucking smart always end up with their egg on their faces? Although I am thoroughly enjoying how humble these once smug assholes have become.

I think it's those type of people who paid more than they can afford for their house is why people like ME are paying for the bail out plan our beloved president put into place. Do me a favor. Next time you see your neighbor....KICK the living shit out of them for causing this finacial crisis.

With my neighbors, it's their attitude that sucks so bad. See, they paid a LOT for their house. They thought this made them something special. They also thought this made them really smart. (I've always operated on the premise that paying less, not more, for something makes you savvy) One of the parents used to appraise houses for a living. You would think someone whose job it was to determine the value of homes would know what homes are worth! But no. He was one of the stupid people who got carried away with all the hype, despite his insiders job, or maybe because of it? No matter, the end result is that they owe far more than the house is worth, and they are stuck paying on the inflated value. And I say used to appraise homes, because he doesn't do that anymore, because the real estate market is in the dumpers. So, let's recap what these "smart" people, both of them college graduates, have done and continue to do on a daily basis:

1. Overpaid for a house that has dropped at least $100,000 since they bought it.

2. With no thought to job security, or that the frenzied real estate market might not continue, went out and bought an expensive, gas guzzling SUV, which they could not afford.

3. Constantly threw parties and invited people over to show off their terrific house with a pool. BFD. I have a pool too, and so do about 75% of the people who live around here. And irritated us longtime residents by having their loudmouthed guests park in front of everyone else's house.

3. Did all this at a time when they have three teenage children who are soon to attend college, and INSTEAD of living simply and funding their kid's college educations. None of these kids is smart or motivated enough to get a scholarship, though one of their sons fancies himself a talented athlete. What he is in reality is an uncoordinated asshole who walks like he has a stick up his ass.

4. When they moved in, they treated those of us neighbors who were smart enough to buy our homes 8-9+ years before them, like shit, and continued to act like they were the greatest thing since sliced bread.

5. Their kids immediately began throwing their weight around, acting aggressively, behaving in a loud and overbearing manner, and got chummy with the neighborhood bully (who had no friends before these jerks moved in) and began causing serious trouble for others. IMO, this shows their mindset and the way they were raised.

6. Despite having had their cars broken into (I'm not even sure how many times, but it's approaching double digits) and their mail stolen, and going to the trouble of cancelling credit cards, replacing driver's licenses and opening and closing bank accounts, CONTINUE to leave their cars in the street, with valuables (purses, cameras, GPS, etc.) clearly visible, and their garage doors open when no one's home, their papers and mail not picked up, and their trash cans in the street for days after garbage pickup.

Mind you, there are FIVE healthy people living there, yet no one seems capable of closing a door, bringing trash cans in, or getting the mail.

It has now been over three years since these assholes invaded our space. In addition to their irritating presence, their careless behavior has brought a bad element to our neighborhood. The thieves and tweekers have their house staked out, and are branching out into the rest of the neighborhood. Thank God we have always had the brains to put our cars in the garage and lock shit up. And with the economy the way it is and the holidays approaching, it's only going to get worse.

Whoever it was who said, Living well is the best revenge, was right. We will continue to enjoy our lives, while these nasty fuckers struggle with their overblown mortgage and their lazy, disrespectful kids. I'll silently chuckle when I see them sweeping up broken glass and the community officer coming out to take another police report.

And their amigo, the neighborhood bully's parents are also having problems. Their house was in foreclosure earlier this year, and they owe nearly half a mil on a house that aint worth that anymore. Dunno how they're still here, but the next time I see that pudgy, hairy creep and his fat, fuzzy little foreigner sister outside, I'm going to ask them if they're moving, and hand them the sheriff's sale notice I cut out of the paper. And then their smug, dumbass parents will have some 'splainin to do.
