I have to fly to Europe on business later this month. Just the thought of flying, let alone it's close to 9/11 scares the hell out of me. I love my job, but I am so distracted right now thinking about all of the "what if's" that I can't sleep at night.

I have no problem with not bringing on beverages, iPods, etc, but now they are saying no books or magaznes either? What's next - we all are cavity searched and fly naked? (might be fun at that!) Nothing is going to stop these assholes. I'd rather at least have armed military on the planes, out in the open, weapons cocked than to wonder if these could possibly be the last remaining days of my life.

I'd like to have a career that doesn't require traveling, but for the time being, this is what I have to do. Will the 5 year anniversary of 9/11 be one of reflection, or just more terror? Tick, tock, tick, tock... I'm a nevouse wreck.
Any advice?

It might not be a terrorist, look at it like this, what if its the pilots time to go, and he just takes all the rest of you with him.
