Switching Gears, Going Straight

I break up with my SO after eight years, she dumped me. I go to my mother's, mostly because I am broke, don't have a job, I'm depressed. I get a job in a family interior design store as a clerk. In comes a customer, he starts giving me advice. The next day he comes back and offers me a job, more money and health insurance. And a shorter commute, 20 minutes.

The job is customer oriented. I like it and in a few months I'm working independently reporting to him. Then he tells me he thinks he has a better job for me. As his personal assistant, key word personal. Living with him in his house, freedom to run the house. I really had never lived with a man.

It's been five years now. Adjusting to a man takes a lot of work. You have to learn to shut up. I discovered I'm a good housewife. I thought I would miss Seattle, and the vibe. True my life is straight, but straight is how 99% of women live. I agreed to get married, he wants kids and the clock's ticking.

I do have attractions from time to time, but I work on avoiding those women. I thought I would never submit to intercourse but I did, and I do.

My central self is lesbian, but I put bi here because I am with a man. I'm glad really I don't live in Seattle with the crazies, living three blocks from my mother and a mile from my mother in law is challenging.
