First off, My wife and I lived in our house for 3 years in the country with no neighbors for about 3 miles. We have dogs, two little ones (ankle high). A house about 1/4 mile away from us that had been empty for 7+ years came up for sale and my Wife and I decided to go buy it ( a week after it went on the market) so we could rent it out, and add about 5 acres. We called the real estate agency and they said it was allready sold. No problem, the new neighbors moved in about two weeks after that. We went over asked if they needed help, or anything moving in, explained the water, that there were five houses connected together on one well, and we had our own well, but ours was connected to theres just in case something happened for a temporary fix. They seemed real nice for the first couple of months, they had a large dog that tried to kill anybody that drove by, and the little 4 year old daughter was a snot, but we dealt with that. The neighbors wife put dog water and food bowels in their house to "treat our dogs when they spent the night" thats right she was constantly letting our dogs stay at her house! COOL PEOPLE! Then one day the husband comes over to our house yelling that he was going to shoot our dogs becouse he thinks one of them shit in his yard.(where his dog shits) I told him I would take care of it and it wasnt a problem, he remained irate and wouldnt listen, said he would just shoot them. I went and talked to the sherrif to see what rights I had. Good if he shoots them I can sue, and we spent the next 3 days putting up a dog pen on the opposite side of the house( away from them). No problem, our dogs have never been penned, cause we live in the middle of nowhere, and there is no law against them being loose, but I couldnt stand to lose one of them. Then the sherrif stops me and tells me that he looked into them and the guy has a long criminal history,as well as drugs (meth, and pot), and is violent. WAHOOO! Just what I want to hear, props to the local sherrif for helping when he didnt have to though. The neighbors like to throw parties and rock out till 4am or so, which wouldnt be a problem if I wasnt an adult that had to work the next morning.
Then I notice our water pressure dropping and then coming back up, go out and check the well, and its running like crazy! They had turned our water on at their house ( where the valves are) and were filling up their new huge pool! I fixed that quick, I shut off our well, The guy has been mowing into our yard a little bit more each time, and he mows about 2 inches lower than me, so it makes our yard look like shit, I told him 3 times that I can mow my own yard, and he kept it up, so I took my riding mower, dropped it to ground level and tore the grass out of the ground all down the property line PURE DIRT! then I stopped mowing our yard, its been 2 months now with me not mowing my yard except where I use it on the other side of the house, looks like total shit, doesnt bother me, like I said we live in the middle of nowhere. Now our house is going to be paid off in a few months and we have land we just bought away from them, where nobody can live by us. We have plans, we are putting up a "privacy fence" made out of chicken wire, cattle panels, and old sheet metal. we are putting it about two foot on our side of the property line, painting it several different colors( pink, green, purple, and such) and they cant touch it! no city codes in the country. The same laws that allow them to blast loud music till 4am and throw wild parties, let me drive them nuts! When we move to our new house, we are moving 6 ( count them SIX ) trailer houses on the property( allready got water and sewer for them all) and renting them to mexican workers for the local chicken plant! Having been friendly with these neighbors I know this is one of their biggest fears and they are predjudiced as hell! I'm not worried about a loss on this property, as I said I am moving, but I will still own all this, it gives me a little "fun" PAYBACK IS A BITCH. I figure their house wont sell for anywhere near what they paid for it (evil laugh) after I buy their house under market value, I am going to fix both properties, And laugh my Ass off, I am the one neighbor you dont piss off!

P.S. Has anyone tried putting a name on the national child molester watch list? Could be interesting.
Ideas anybody? If I like it I will try it.

First off why would you let your ankle high dogs run a quarter mile from you house, and why isn't there a fence between the two of you.

Kudos to you! This is the one story where the good guy will finally have the last laugh, a bigger home, and knowing and hoping that son of a bitch neighbor of yours is wallowing in misery.

While I applaud your success, what fantasy land do yo live in that does not have a leash law? I live in the country and dogs are not allowed to roam off the property unattended.

in some states like mine for example if you are outside city limits there is NO leash law!
