There used be a cute old man who lived next door when I was growing up. After he died, his grandaughter and her family moved in. They have lived there for about 7 years now.
So after my husband moved all his stuff in, and my mom moved out, I noticed that the woman next door liked to look at my husband. We would both notice that whenever she was outside at the same time as my husband, she would be staring at him. Now granted, he IS a hot piece of ass (lol)
but she was very blatent about it. This went on for about a year.
My husband and I started doing a lot of remodeling and landscaping to update the house during that first spring and summer. One of the things we did was have a bunch of GIGANTIC pine trees removed from around the house. One of the pine trees along side our driveway was almost on her property, but NOT. To get to the tree, part of the tree company's truck was on her property. Of course, my husband had given the workers a clear indication of where our property ended and her's began. Apparently, they didn't care too much about that because the tires on one side of the truck made tire marks on her property. Seeing this, I told them to move the vehicle and ran over to her door to let her know if the lawn in that small spot didn't spring back, that we would pay to have some top soil to fill it in and throw down some grass seed. Now folks, I'm NOT talking about BIG RUTS in her lawn. They were mild tire marks. So I knocked on her door, apologized, explained that they went on her lawn even though we told them where the line was, and that we would take care of it. Well, she proceeded to yell in my face and slam the door. Hmmm, ok. And techincally, we were told that any damage to someone's property by the tree company had to be fixed and paid for BY THE TREE COMPANY. So we were actually being nice by offering to do it ourselves.
So a day later my husband is out puttering around the house and she comes up to him. She starts yelling at my husband and telling him that he is immature, selfish and needs to grow up. My husband is a police officer, and she added,"You think you can get away with whatever you want becuase you are a sheriff!" Which is a total joke because my husband is the most law abiding, genuinely nice guy you'd ever want to meet, who gets along SWIMMINGLY with all our other neighbors. She also added that we should have told her that we were having trees taken down. My husband first replied that no we didn't, but then remembered that he HAD mentioned it to her husband the week before. Her response was, "Well this isnt HIS house." ???? Last I heard, in NYS if you're married, the house is BOTH of yours. Whatever, psycho!
So since then we have had several other annoying issues with them that would take pages to write. We erected a 6 foot tall privacy fence and THAT ticked her off....hahaha she can't be nosy and watch our every move anymore! She went and had her land SURVEYED because she thought that these lilac bushes my GRANDMOTHER planted 40 years ago might be hers....and of course, they are not. She is wacky and EXTREMELY psycho-possessive over her property lines. That's fine and dandy, just keep your psycho issues to yourself!
