Dating Older People

I've never been interested in people my age. I have had experience with people my age and I'm just not interested. I'm 16 and dating someone who is 61. And he's NOT a p**ophile, 16 is legal where I'm from.

Serious question, I want some opinions on the matter. Most people find it disgusting and get in the way of our relationship. If we love each other, I don't see a problem with it, but what do you think about it?

I'm a 60ish mwm and my wonderful wife is almost 15 years younger and we've been happily married for a dozen years. I have a girl cousin who's like an older sister to me and she was married to a wonderful gentleman who was much, much older. He was a very fit and remarkable professional man and they had a storybook romance for many years til he passed away.
So yeah, it's awkward sometimes but it can work.
Some folks, perhaps like you, are "old souls" and are more comfortable with older folks.

When I was in college I worked doing lawn care for a few folks to make extra money. I ended up losing my virginity to a 60 year old woman when I was about 19 or 20 years old. It was a little different as I was male and a couple years older than you, but we carried on until I graduated college. Each week I'd cut her grass and then she'd take care of my root, if you know what I mean.

The vast majority of people responding with disgust to your happy courtship with that older gentlemen are just jealous hypocrites who themselves would jump at the opportunity to have a relationship with someone your age.

Age is just a number, thus enjoy the joys of your wonderful relationship with that fine gentleman of yours.

Age is just a number and as long as both are in love, lust and have more in common than just sex it should be a wonderful relationship. The bottom line is you need to do what you want, and not what other people think you should do.

I wont judge you. My only advice would be you need to think beyond tomorrow. Most people your age are not doing this. If you have or think you may have a desire to start a family some day. You want your child's father to be around and capable of participating in their active lives. They will deserve that.

I agree with the last response about having children, if thats going to be important to you, you might need to reconsider. However if its just about romance, sex, and companionship, older guys usually know their way around your parts better, have more experience pleasing a woman, and probably feels so lucky having someone your age that he will go out of his way to make you feel good. I think as people get older they get more into pleasing their partner rather than just getting themselves off. I know I almost enjoy making my wife cum multiple times than I do myself. Ive had relationships with girls 15-20 yrs younger and we had great times and they loved the sex. They said the biggest attraction was older guys were more mature and romantic. Your 40+ difference is pretty large, and you will definitely catch some grief over it. But if you are happy, why change? These things usually end up working themselves out if they are meant to be. Good luck.

If it is legal, then what is the problem?

People who judge you say that you should think about your future. Those people can't even tell a difference between sex and love. I'm sure that everyone of them are men. Men, this is the reason why most women prefer older men. It takes ages for you to grow up, around 60 years.

Let me explain a little bit. They think that when you get married, you will never divorce. But, half of the marriages end in divorce. I'm not saying is it good or bad, that's not the point. What I'm saying and what those judges won't understand, is this. Divorced people can survive, and most of them will have little children too.

If you like sex with your 61 years old and if it is legal, then enjoy it. I'm sure you understand it perfectly that family life is different already and might be different when you're 36 and he is 81 or ten years later when he is 91 and you're 46. But I think by then you know perfectly well what you were doing and you don't even remember what those people were saying who judged your decision. If your life were filled with love from him and you loved him, then it has been a good life to live!

Enjoy your life and your kids will love whoever they have as a father figure! Any person who love, listen and support your child is good for your child no matter what the age is! No child ever have said that they wished their father would had been around 40 - 60 years old when they were growing up.
