When we bought our house, it was the crappy house in the middle of nothing but beautiful homes and wonderful people. We cleaned it, painted it, fixed it up, landscaped it - the works! But little by little within 4 years we've become the oasis in the middle of a ghetto. My next door neighbor sold to a drug dealer. The neighbor directly across the street sold out to a foster home that later went bankrupt in just over a year. But during that year, we had all sorts of parolees from the juvnile detention center all over the place. They later sold to some Mexicans who are now running a halfway house for illegal aliens. Which is how they earn their money to pay the mortgage on the house. (We live in San Diego.) The neighbor on the other side of me are rural, uneducated Mexicans who keep asking me if they can eat the occasional gopher I get in my front lawn. We actually got in a serious arguement one day when they found out that I had trapped a bothersome possum and took him up to a mountain lake area and released him. (Apparently, possums are worth a whopping $5 each at the local Mexican market.) My neighbor two houses down is running an auto shop out of his back yard, and has tow trucks coming and going day and night. My two neighbors behind me have both moved out and are currently renting the houses out. In one house the people come and go monthe by month and it is rented to some sort of white trash. The other house is currently rented to some sort of off-campus fraternity. (I mean, WAY off campus. Like 15 miles.) Anyway, they're actually the only neighbors I like. (though My wife hates them - too loud/too many parties.) But at least it's music I like, and they seem to pass out around 1:30ish. The rest of the neighbors up and down the street have either sold or rented their house out, or currently have their house up for sale. The people who buy them or rent them, have all been illegal aliens so far (or even legal) with about 12 people OR MORE per house. Several house have 11 cars each.
What the hell happened??
