Why, why did I buy a house in a cul-de-sac!!!!! I want out. Why are there 3 kids in every household. There are a total of 13 kids in the very small 5 house cul-de-sac in a mid/upper class neighborhood. I've only been here for 11 months, but I'm going crazy.
These damn, worthless, waste of space have absolutely NO respect for adults or property. They play in the middle of the circle at all times of the day when school is out. I really don't have a problem with this, but they way they play is so fucking annoying. They leave skid marks with their motorized scooter on purpose, they damage landscaping, and play in everyone's lawn. These little shits have huge backyards they can play in, but apparrently they get bored quickly and like to play with other people's person property.
I don't leave any of our cars out as they do as they please with them. If they are in the way during their baseball game, oh well it's only a dent.
I can't stand the "gangsta" attitude of these kids either. I live in the fuckin' Midwest and our "major" city has less than 300,000 people. A bunch of little white suburban kids that think they are from the hood.

Did I mention the redneck realtor neighbor...he is about the hardest person to have an adult conversation with. He is always home, guess he's not a successful realtor. He waits till everyone is out doing yard work and then rushes out to talk and talk and talk.

The neighbors next to the redneck realtor has 3 kids, the oldest is a girl. Probably 17 - 20. Now this girl already has 2 kids...with 2 different fathers. It gets better, the 1st one has nothing to do with his kid. The 2nd, well he's in jail right now, but he is a great dad according to the middle child.

I don't think any of my neighbors work either. I work from home at times, come home for lunch, take a day off. On all the days I stay home, at least 3 of the 5 are always there. I don't understand how they can afford houses in this neighborhood if no one works.

Gawd, I hate this cul-de-sac. I love the neighbor itself, but I picked the worst neighbors to move next to.

I need to go through 2 or 3 more years of this shit before I can move. I value my mental health, but I'm not about to lose money on a house. For now, I just hope I don't go crazy and accidently run all the kids down.

I know exactly how you feel! I used to live in a cul-de-sac. A neighbor of ours had 5 boys. The youngest was about 6 or 7. Well, anyways, there was a time when we had kittens and these kids would come over to our house on weekends at 7 in the morning! On Saturday! They would ring our doorbell like 20 times in a row, or until we answered the door. They just wanted to play with the kittens. They would also do that when they wanted my brother to come out. Keep in mind my brother is way older than them, but they looked up to him for some reason, That wouldn't be so bad if it were later in the day. Not at the butt crack of dawn! They would also play football in our front yard. Our other neighbors would blast mariachi music. Sometimes they would have parties that would last till 4 in the morning. They would be talking, laughing, blasting music, plus they had little kids that should have been in bed. We could hear everything. It would wake us up. One time we called the police, but they didn't do anything. I'm sorry but some people are obnoxious and need to get a life.

Sounds like you live in a neighborhood like us.
Our neighbors as well as their kids are all dumb.

Not many work and the ones that do, only work part time or seasonal. Their kids don't speak well and most of the time all conversations lead into how little money they have. The funny thing is, they have money to booze on all the time. Always have a beer in their hand every time I see them. Not once have three of our neighbors taken a vacation out of town that I know of nor taken their kids to a movie or an amusement park.

We dont' fit in, nor do we want to. We have a life, a steady income and spend all of our free time doing family stuff.
I hate ignorence and can't wait to get out of this neighborhood when we can afford to move.
Right now, we just can't afford it, but within the next year the house is going on the market.

We do live in a middle class neighborhood but our next house will be out in the woods with no neighbors for miles.

:)

sounds like my neighborhood. i live in a cul-de-sac too. and those little kids are everywhere. us kids are separated in two groups, the big kids and the little kids. they took over. they'd always throw rocks and sticks at us and throw water balloons and hit my parents' cars and we'd get in trouble for it! its still going on but us big kids dont go out as much. everyone is caught up in highschool so the little kids took over. their parents would get mad at us for skatboarding but now their kids are skating and they couldnt care less. they're the ones who bought them skateboards in the first place to copy us even more! they kept complainning and calling the cops and fire department on us and now their kids are doing what we do(even worse!!) and neither their parents nor our own parents do anything as drastic as they did to us. it sux! i have my name in a fire department computer because my neighbor thought i was lighting his house on fire!! and i was a house away from his house!! and it was only a BIRTHDAY CANDLE THAT I STUCK TO THE GROUND WITH ITS WAX COVERED WITH A WALL OF ROCKS!!!i hate those neighbors. i've lived here for a long time. and my so named best friend lives 8 houses away. everyone thinks he's annoying. and i agree. known him for almost 11 years and i cant stand it. he stupidly molested me a couple of weeks ago but i stopped him. that retard.

OK, this shit is getting out of hand. I'm wife and our 16 month old son went to visit her parents this weekend so I have "quiet" time to myself for 2 days. Well, not according to the little shit faced monkey neighbor kids. I REALLY hate them with a passion.
Here we go...It's about 9:30 PM, I'm relaxing surfing the Internet (which I have not done for a while due to family obligations). I hear several kids laughing and thud sounds outside. It's the fuckin' neighbor kids with 7 of their closest buddies. Damn!!!! They are playing, steal a friend's shorts and hide them outside or whatever. Anyway, they decided to throw these shorts up on the Redneck Realtor's roof. The kid that got his shorts stolen uses a hockey stick to get it off. Banging and denting the gutters to do this. I see the neighbor next to him coming home. All this guy ask does is ask him what he is doing (duh, of course they are going to say "Nuthin'") and then asks if his parents are home. The little shit ignores him and all 10 of them run back into their house. End of his involvement.
I thought that was the end of it, but they are at it again. This time it's my house. Like I've said all along, I don't mind them playing in our lot, but they need to respect and leave things alone. So these waste of space decide to hide the shorts in my garbage container. Now I'm pissed, I have a 16 month old and another due in June. Luckly my family is out of town and the 16 month old was not here sleeping. They make all this racket trying to get the shorts back out from our garbage container. At this point I was ready to call the police, this whole time, I'm thinking the shit faces' parents were not at home and they are running rampade without any supervision. As I walk over to grab the phone, I see their loser dad come out of the house!! I'm in total shock! That piece of shit so-called parent is home and they are getting away with all of this! I was tempted to still call, but decided not to. I should of, but I didn't and it's my fault.
I'm still in shock that all this time, the parents were home and his kids and the 7 or 8 others were allowed out causing trouble within feets from their house.
At this point I can't even blame the kids, although I still hate with a passion. Their loser parents are the source. They just need to move. I think I'm going to give a buddy a call tonight to get some revenge while the wife and kid is out of town : )

Why do parents just give up on their kids. Shit like this, is what's causing social problems to go on the rise. There is no parent involvement in kids lives. Hopefully they will grow out of this...ya right.

Go live in a cave if it bothers you so much to hear kids playing outside. You can't tell me you never got a little rowdy playing with your friends when you were a kid! And you live on a cul-de-sac, not a major highway, so who cares if the kids play ball or ride scooters in the circle as long as they're not in danger? I felt sorry for your situation at first, but you sound like you need to get a life, judging from the fact that you know every bit of gossip there is to know about your neighbors. You really come off as a miserable gossip-hound. Every neighborhood has one, I suppose.

I can't wait until your child becomes a pre-teen and some nosey adult neighbor spends all his time picking fights with him for riding his bike through their backyard. Maybe then you'll realize that kids aren't always perfect and definately not always QUIET, but we can't just keep them locked in the basement 'til they turn 21.
