Maybe You're Not Frigid, Maybe You're Romantic Interest Is A Woman
I got married straight out of college. I was the proverbial religious virgin girl having saved myself for marriage. He was the proverbial upcoming man, well educated, handsome wi5h a good job. We met two years earlier, he was a senior I was a sophomore. Now I faced my wedding night. My Grandmother's g*ft was a very nice nightgown, panties and bra. Virginal white. I had a night of advice, unlike my friends I was not only a virgin, I had virtually no experience, book learning but no experience.
When the time came I went into a total panic attack, he pulled my bra off and I covered my breasts and ran and hid in the bathroom. I slept on the floor of the bathroom. He was 'understanding' but pissed. We did not have sex on our honeymoon. He did not see me naked, he did not touch me. I came home from my honeymoon with instructions to see a therapist. He went back to work, and got his frustrations satisfied by his office girlfriend.
To me it was a relief, I hated the therapist and had no intention of having sex. His girlfriend could have him. They became a lot closer and I lived in our apartment alone.
I was still a virgin on my fifth anniversary, still married. He and his girlfriend had a little girl and a bouncing baby boy, She asked me if I was ever going to consummate the marriage. Maybe I was one of those women without a sex drive. And she made the suggestion that maybe I needed a girlfriend.
Maybe I did. It was a full ten years later that I went down that road in a romantic intimate relationship with my girlfriend. I still have not been able to leave the security of my marriage.
