Mt Wife's Secret

Been married for over 25 years. My wife, still attractive, just turned 50. A man we've both known most of our adult lives died a few weeks ago. My wife is noticeably happier and very lighthearted. I asked her about her mood and she just said she feels an old weight left her.

The weight was that the man who died held something from the past from before she and I met and that he's been using it since she was a teenager to get her to perform oral sex on him when ever he demanded it. He used to make her have sex with him but that ended for the most part a long time ago.

I don't know what he was holding over her head. I've suspected it had something to do with her father. She has no idea that I've known almost the entire time where she was going and what she was doing on the many occasions she made some excuse to sneak off to satisfy him. She owed him and agreed to this arrangement and stuck with it to the end. I knew this because the man told me about it before we got married. He told me that he owned her and that he was going to continue to own her regardless of her marrying me. He told me that he had taken her virginity and to expect him to continue having sex with her whenever he wanted. He was true to his word. He advised me not to marry her, that he would rather she not be my wife but if I chose to, it wouldn't protect her from him.

I loved her, I tried to find out what his hold was, I went so far as to consider killing him but instead we lived our lives and I pretended to know nothing all this time and now she's free and happy and I never have to feel that agony I always felt when she snuck off to satisfy that awful man's desires. Thank god it's over.
