It can hurt, from what I've read (I'm a guy). Whatever you do, tell the guy it is your first time. If he is worth it, he will be gentle. If you have an intact hymen, it may be bloody. If you masturbate, it probably won't hurt as much, especially if you use penetration. Any women out there have any comment?

i wouldn't use the word hurt, it might be uncomfortable though, especially if it's his first time too he may not know when to take it slow..... my first time i didn't have bleeding, but by then i was using tampons and masterbating, both will keep you from breaking your himen during sex and bleeding. my advice it to use lubrication, you can buy condoms that are lubricated, and sex gel helps too.
