The Long Term Consequences Of Drunk Driving
I was thirteen, my brother nine. We were with our parents when we were hit broadside by a pickup at high speed. My parents were killed, my brother paralyzed. The drunk driver also killed. The drunk had no insurance and a suspended license for prior DUIs. My parents only carried liability on their policy.
After a campaign by friends and Samaritans the insurance set up a 300 thousand fund for my brother. Community helped a little. We each went into foster care.
My brother lives with me, his insurance fund is gone. He is a talented graphic artist, but his personal life is non existent. Women aren't interested in a man who can't perform sexually or have children. Men aren't interested in a woman who takes care of her disabled brother,
I've had a few one night stands, but nothing permanent. My brother has never had a woman. His mind is alive, but sexually he is dead, not even a pair of breasts to caress him.
