After A Toxic Relationship I Made My Choice For Sanity
I resigned my commission from the Air Force and moved to eastern Oregon for the country and to get my head straight. I met a journalist who was interviewing people about their attitudes. Mine were more along the line of non of your business, my politics weren't her business. But a personal relation developed. I was not interested at that time, and I didn't agree with her politics. But, I gave in and I had sex with her.
I was disappointed in myself. She took it the other way. I wasn't interested, but sex t***ps your hood judgement. She stayed around, leaving from time to time to get her 'fix' in Portland. Each time she came back her politics were more and more extreme. It took a lot to see her again. I decided to break it off.
When she went to Portland the next time. I ran, did not walk, I ran to a friend of mine from my college days. I asked him to marry me, elope right then. He agreed, but only until she left me alone. However long that took.
She took it badly, and dissed me on her social media. And mutual people we knew. Safely married I left Oregon for Ohio where his family is, for a life in the suburbs.
It's been ten years now, I'm still married, I have children now.
