Agreeing To Be A Surrogate I Was Thrown A Curveball

I worked in HR for a large corporation at the HQ in a large city. My degree isn't in HR, it's communications, but I rose through benefits. I was happy, earning six figures after bonuses. Single, my hobbies included working out and friend's group. No males, strictly a girl club. We talked about everything from cooking to mending. It was my escape and I loved to help set up parties and hosting.

My boss was a lady in her fifties. She had worked for the VP for a long time and she could walk in and out of his office without notice. One day she asked me into her office and asked me if I was on birth control and if I was interested in being a surrogate for his daughter as she had lost her plumbing. I was shocked, at 29 I had not contemplated going through pregnancy.

The VP called me in and asked me if I had a problem being a surrogate. But anything for a price. He said that as soon as I was off all birth control and fertile to let him know and he would arrange for me to get pregnant. He restated that I wasn't random, he had chosen me carefully.

Four months later in an unceremonious manner I was impregnated with my eyes covered in a clinic. It took two sessions and I carried to maturity. After the birth the 'waiting mother' told me to go on and breast feed. She wanted me to be her mother. The son in law had declined to participate. Once I had agreed to being the surrogate, her father stood in for the son in law. So no, she wasn't a parent, she was a half sister.

There was a confrontation and anger, but the baby is here and I am the mother. This isn't a case of money, money is no object, this baby will have all the money she needs to grow healthy and attend the best schools available. My daughter will grow up with a big sister.

The advise I've been given is not to shit in my bed, to be nice about it and willingly accept the next one in person. My boss' comment is that I got promoted, with a job for life and I need to focus on being nice to my sponsor and the father of my baby. Give myself to him and be grateful.
