My Husband's View On Sex Is Odd

Me and my husband have good sex life, we don't have any kids but are slowly creeping toward the "we aren't trying to have kids but also aren't not trying to have kids either" territory. Anyways last night we were watching a movie and a threesome scene came on and I jokingly asked him if he would do a threesome and he shrugged and said sure. So I asked him if he would be okay if it was me, him and another guy and again she said sure. I pressed him why he was so okay with it. He told me that he knows even with another guy that I love him and that anything like that would just be purely to feel good, no emotion to it. So I asked him well what if it wasn't a threesome, just me and some guy and it was just purely for sex, nothing else. He said well my pussy is his and his only, you know the whole not trying but not not trying for a kid thing I mentioned earlier and he said my mouth and ass would be fine. I was kind of taken aback because this was kind of a thing I did not expect to hear. He also said that I would have to trust them, and not some stranger off the street. Figures if I was to wear a condom for butt stuff if it broke then if it was someone I trusted, there was a decreased chance of any STDs, but he did say if i trusted them then I also didn't need a condom for butt stuff, only if I wanted. I was like anyone I trusted and he said yes, he would not care. I laughed and asked him what about my brother or my dad and he legit said "sure, I know you trust them and sex is sex, you'd just do it to feel good". I was like shook, he was so nonchalant about it. I asked him if he would do or has done the same to other women and he said no because he knows I am not like him and would no appreciate me doing that behind my back or even if I knew. I kind of stopped talking about it at that point. I don't plan on ever doing anything or sleeping with someone else, let alone my own family. I am just, bamboozled for lack of the better word on how someone can think like that and be okay with it. Like I still love him and maybe he was just saying shit to wind me up and get me all weirded out but he seemed serious. Like my dad and brother? What the hell. Am I overthinking things?

He probably is being serious. My wife and I had a similar conversation, she was similarly weirded out. We didn't talk about family stuff though, that may be a bridge too far.

That said, I once offered a girl I was seeing a threesome with my brother and I, but she wasn't interested. So, I'm at least willing to go that far.

I'm not convinced both of you want this threesome. Keep the convo going, condom or no condom?, front door, back door, mouth? Work out what both of you want. Have fun too.

I am not being or trying to be a smart ass with this question. Are you sure he is not a closet homosexual?

Two weird things here: you -without any reason- bought up fucking your dad and brother! Yet you're confused by his response?

And the comment above: he says she can fuck who she likes and you think that makes him homosexual? Do you know what a homosexual is? You're right you're not a smart ass.

Sweetie…you brought it all up, not him. You had all the kinky ideas, he just said ok, probably wanting to please you. If anyone should be weirded out maybe it’s him.

Firstly, be honest, it wasn't really jokingly, was it? Sara, the threesome scene aroused you. You know it did and that's why you asked.
This could have been written about my husband and I. Identical situation that started the convo. I was also weirded out by his reaction and other than the familial portion of it, thats weird and wrong on many levels, his view is the same as your husband.
Secondly, you need to understand that
sex is sex and love is love.
We had been married for 3 years when that convo happened. I let it go. About a year later, we had a friend over that had been going through a bad divorce and after he left, I looked at my husband and said, not even thinking about it, " he's such a good guy, she's such an idiot for taking off, he needs to get laid just to get laid".
My husband broke into laughter and said, "see? You actually feel the same as I do. Sometimes sex is purely for sex's sake and doesn't have to be emotional".
Mind blowing moment for me. Turns out I, like you i suspect, was so programmed by society to think one way and one way only about sex and relationships that I forgot that sex is sometimes just sex.

Oh, dear. women can be so clueless about men. Women often think that men are clueless but you have demonstrated the same cluelessness in return. Sex for women is an emotional experience. It's not the same for us men. The emotional response from a man can be there but it is far less than it is for women. For men sex is far more a physical thing. How many times have you heard of a man getting caught having gone outside the marriage, so often the response is, "It was just sex, it didn't mean anything". What they are saying is it changes nothing, what's the big deal.
This is just normal for a man, but it does not compute for a woman. Your man is just telling it as it is for him. You need to learn more about men, and you will understand your man better.
Men are generally territorial and your man still wants to own your pussy, but he is still willling to share it if you must, so long as it is just sex. Just don't do it, because no matter what, there will always be some emotional response from you, and he isn't going to like that.
