I'm Breaking Up With My Brother

It's the hardest decision I've ever had to make. He is the only lover I've known. He was my first for everything, and we have been together our entire adult lives.

I'm leaving for two reasons, one of which is society's fault and one, his fault.

First, I can't live in the shadows anymore. I want to put my boyfriend's picture on my desk at work. I want to go out on dates and hold hands. I want to be able to tell our parents. (I mean yes, they had "met" my brother, but we couldn't tell them we were together!)

Second, I want a baby.

He insists it's not a genetic concern. We're both educated and rational people, so we know the risk is very small. So many issues can be tested for in advance now, anyway.

He just wants to live the childfree lifestyle.

If he gets a new girlfriend and then knocks her up, I will never speak with him again.

My biological clock is ticking. I need to meet a man who wants to make babies with me. I'd even accept being barefoot and pregnant if he wants a large family.

To my brother, if you ever reas this, I will always love you. Why, o why, don't you want to be a dad? Imagine miniature versions of us running around! Happy faces with our best features! And so what if they only have one set of grandparents? They would be loved just the same.

Please be kind to him. Even if he wasn't the perfect man for you, he will experience sadness and loneliness when you leave.

It's often said that the partner who initiates a breakup gets a head start in the grieving process.

That is ok, you should both go on with your lives and make families, periodically you can then meet up to renew your love and affection while practicing safe sex. Society makes it bad right because of that reason, getting stuck in one place and time.

Get away before it is too late. I am pregnant with my brothers baby and am lost when people ask who the daddy is. We made a mistake and stuff happens. My biggest concern is for our baby due in July.

So get married and do your brother on the side in private. No one has to know. If he knows how to do you good then I would keep him. My brother taught me how to kiss but that is it except for a few times he would grab my tits and I would say no. Keep your discipline and it will all be good.

You are not gonna break up with your brother, I hate to tell you that but it’s not gonna happen. My sister and I are in our 60s. We’ve broke up many many times and still go back together. It’s an addiction that just can’t be broke.

I think Lydia refers to it as breaking up because it's not possible for a brother and sister to marry, so what others would experience as divorce, they experience as breaking up.

All states forbid either sibling marriage or sibling sex, if not both. These laws are so outdated and unnatural. Even step-siblings with no genetic link are excluded from marriage. Hopefully RFK will fix these problems once and for all.

Don't break up with him! That will be the biggest mistake of your life! You can't do that because he's your brother. When he finds a new woman, you will be devastated, even if you would pretend to be in "happy" marriage and "happily" pregnant with someone else! You can't do that to your future babies because they will see an example of how you are missing someone and you're helplessly stuck in unhappy marriage for the rest of your life! You can't teach them that! You need to teach them by example, and you don't want to be unhappy and helpless example for them!

Speak with your brother. Don't demand. Discuss! He must be very worried, and not "wanting to live childfree life". When you understand why and how he's worried about your future then you two can discuss about the future together. At the moment, you want, you need, and he should just follow, but he must be scared of all the risks in the world. He's saying it's not about the genetic concerns, and he's telling you the truth! But he's afraid because of the life itself, of how you two can stay safe and raise your baby and how to handle everything it involves.

I don't believe a second that he would be that cold that he's just fucking you. You would had known it for years already and you wouldn't even had this problem. To me it sounds that him wanting only to fuck is your assumption of him.

I think he's hiding behind it because he's worried he's not knowing everything in front! Give him time, don't demand, just take time and together imagine what your life would be if pregnancy would happen to you two. Continue imaging that without any agenda, without any arguments, and only then think about all the worries and difficulties and imagine fixing them and find a way to communicate together.

Communication is the key with him. Do not give him ultimatum or put words to his mouth, or shoot down all his worries, because then you can't communicate with him because then he will always be on the defence and not together with you!

I know how frustrated you are, but you need to keep your head cool because eventually he will be there for you! He have been there for you all your adult life like you said! As long as you two can communicate together, he will always be there with you for you. But you need to listen to him and listen him very carefully.

People who say that you should meet a new man, and how you and your brother can then meet up every now and then, just for sex, do not know what they're talking about. I've tried that three times with my own brother, and it never worked! I've never heard anyone who's experiencing this saying that it would work, because it won't! You are already deeply involved with him and you've clearly imagined a future with him. You can't swipe all that away because it will haunt you.

You can always say that you don't know who's the father because you met someone uknown and you got pregnant. You don't need to explain anyone anything else but how you're concentrating on your baby. You can then ask your brother to help you. You can put your brothers picture on your desk, and beside your bed and get a picture of you two together and put it on top of your bed. Nobody won't stop you doing that and you should do that. But unless you know your parents very well and you know their reaction, I would strongly advice you to not to tell them about you two.

You need to concentrate on the goal, and the goal is your babys wellbeing. You can't fight with your brother no matter how frustrating he may be now. The truth is, you need to have him to be with you because that's the only way for you to be happy and you need to communicate and communicate together. Speak and listen to him. Don't put him on demand by judging or shooting down his every argument and make him feel you're not listening him. You need to make him see the good points of being with you and tell you his worries and tell him you're there to help and support him too!

I agree with everone else. Forget the BS talk about breaking up and enjoy fucking your brother. If you find another man it should be easy enough to visit your brother if you have the craving for the dick you are so used to and addicted to. Nothing wrong with it. Be thankful for what you have.

My marriage has had its up and downs but when in need my brother is always my go to guy. No commitment and I know what I am getting. I am fortunate that both men know how to fuck me good.
