I Am A 29 Yo Lesbian, Married Ten Years To A Man With Two Children
I was 19, a 'dancer' in a men's club far from the strip. Mostly out of town businessmen, lap dances, no touching of any kind. Half of the dancers were lesbians, a few turned tricks, most of us danced for the money. I was in a casual relationship with another dancer, who got me the job. A few times and surrounded by tits, you flaunt yours and prance around in heels pushing drinks. In addition to lap dance tips we got commissions for pushing drinks.
A man one night, solo, asked me why I did 'this', wasn't I embarrassed? Did my grandmother know what I did? I told him it was a job and I didn't turn tricks, but he asked me 'out' anyways. I agreed to meet him after two when I was off, but he had to be nice. A lot of older men see dancers as lost daughters and fallen angels, and want to save us from ourselves. So it was with this man.
I got a lot of Bible mumbo jumbo, a lot about going home, get an education, that sort of thing. At one point I came clean, told him I am a lesbian, and came from a broken home. I hadn't spoken to my grandmother since I was ten, she was an alcoholic. He insisted on saving me and if he had to marry me then that's what he would do. Being Las Vegas we got 'married' at six in the morning, then went to breakfast, two days later I was in Omaha in an empty house in the suburbs.
I was sent to college for a business degree, agreed to having a couple of kids, I work with him in his insurance agency. There is an X, and two older kids. Ten years later this is the new me, I never was an angel, far from it. I was a promiscuous high school lesbian, and party girl. He doesn't like that part of me, so it's never a topic of conversation. My lesbian partner from my 'dancer' days moved to Omaha a few months after I did, she's went to night school and is working with me. We don't much talk about that either. Everyone looks the other way.
