Why would you hide this from your kids?

It would be fine, and indeed good, for them to see mommy's friend coming over for dinner, being romantic with mommy just like daddy is, and then staying over for the night.(Obviously, just as with your husband, you'd keep your sexual activities private, behind a closed door, while the kids are asleep.)
