Married, Every Day
Back them when I was thirty I met a young woman in a hotel we were both staying at. We ended up in bed, but she withdrew from further conversation. Two months later she calls me at work, she had kept my business card. Either I step up and take care of everything or she was going to take desperate measures.
I did fly to her and her position was desperate, get married. Six weeks later we were married in a small party wedding. She went on to deliver a boy, followed by another boy and twin girls. In a few short years I had a big family. She quit work after getting married to move down south with me. Never worked after that.
She's intelligent, and well educated, devoted to her children and family. We struggle with the house payment, trips to her parents. She's frugal when it comes to a tv, her children are in private school like she was. I drive an old pickup, she drives a late model Suburban. I'm saying it out loud, this girl is spoiled, entitled, opinionated. To her middle class is a two week beachfront vacation.
I have been lucky, my career has been able to keep up with her, but like the proverbial lab gerbil, I'm running and never catching my tail. On the other hand, she is beautiful, gorgeous, friggin hot. She's affectionate, a natural born homemaker, given to motherhood. Straight out of a fairy tale. She got married, end of discussion. At the company party, everyone wants to know how a country red neck like me got such a girl.
Well, guys, I'm not suggesting, I'm here to admit from the moment I saw her I no longer owned me. When she called me I was her lap dog, ran not walked to see her, she wanted marriage I was the man for it. For a good old boy, I never dreamt I'd be married to a princess.
