On A Day Like Today I'm So Proud To Be An American

I arrived at college a week before classes started. I met my roommate Cheryl, we got along right away. We went to Walmart for some cute stuff, found the college pizza place. The weekend came fast. There was a welcome party put on by the boy's dorm and we went. I felt great, this was the college experience I always dreamt of.

I stood in the dark and he wanted me to undress. I was nervous, and scared, as I undressed. Once I was undressed he called me to the bed. As he took his place on me he asked me if I had given myself before. I answered but he needed me to repeat myself. As he continued with his efforts he told me there wasn't anything better. He finished, taking a moment to whisper in my ear 'if you are going to make a baby, make me a son'.

As an incoming freshman, a graduating senior was way to old. It was like getting a big brother you didn't know. He took his time with me, so I could get used to him. By Thanksgiving I was confirmed pregnant, and he drove me home to tell my parents.

He didn't exactly ask my father's permission, he let my father know he was taking me with him. He was a December graduate, and I was going where ever he was going, he was waiting on a job offer. We got married that Sunday.

I sat out the second semester, taking care of my pregnancy. A boy was born, he was proud of me. Over the time of my college education, I came up with a number two son, and was pregnant with a first daughter. He was more interested in my staying home, and running full speed ahead.

So on this Fourth of July, we packed the kids in the Tahoe, two strollers, one in the oven, and two boys waving at the Humvees at the city parade of the Red White and Blue.

So, wishing you here, a big Fourth of July Independence Day.

Birthing babies and staying home doesn't sound like much fun to me.

Fun fact: it wasn't until 1980 that the majority of American women worked outside the home. The US was far behind its chief rival, the USSR, in terms of opportunities for women to be paid for their work.

We can talk about all kinds of exploitation, but when half your adult population is working without pay, there is a problem. Keep that in mind whenever you hear politicians who want to roll back the clock, make women have more babies, and keep women out of the paid labor force.

I suggest you go and get help from a psychiatrist, you are clearly unwell mentally. You have given up your life to be the mother of his children. He does not care about you as he wouldn’t rob you of what are usually the best years of your life.
