Fallen Into A Plural Arrangement
After I moved to Houston looking for better job opportunities, I moved in with a friend of my Mom's. She was my Mom's age, so the living arrangement was pretty much mother daughter. which included who I went out with. As I got to know her she told me her history. She lived in Nevada, not Las Vegas, and belonged to a polygamous family. A man with four wives, with a twenty year spread. She and her close ' sister' wife were the youngest brought in for fertility and she had four kids.
She lived with her polygamous family until her husband father passed away suddenly. She misses her sister wives and they continued to see each other. Kris, her 'friend', was her sister wife when they were added for fertility. Needless to say I was shocked and rejected that lifestyle.
But, there is always a but in your life, I got pregnant with my fifty year old boss' baby. My landlord intervened insisting I have the baby and join his house as a junior wife, for fertility. At first his wife ignored me, but as I got bigger she had to face my pregnancy. My boss, who by then was trying to place me with another company, thought it was crazy. But, again but, I was most definitely pregnant and like it or not there was going to be a baby.
I had a son, his other two children are girls, and 'the women' became very taken with the first son. Babysitting was not a problem. After my maternity leave I changed jobs, and at the request of his wife I moved closer to them. It isn't a polygamous household, it's a plural relationship.
