I'm female and have cut and shaved my pubic hair, and find it itches only when it has grown back a centimetre or so. I like to shave it, but the main problem I have with that is it can rub a bit at the front when I'm having sex when it has only just started to grow back. The best way to overcome this is for me to be on top or the man to be behind me. I cut and shave when I'm in and out of relationships just because I prefer the look of it short. Some men like it longer, some prefer it shaved. It's just a matter of taste. I would say though that if you don't want to shave then don't. Maybe compromise by trimming a little if you feel comfortable with that, but don't do anything you don't want to do. Hope this helps.
