I'm 18 (white) and have always had white boyfriends, I've been going steady with one guy now for just over a year, we started having sex shortly after we met, and havn't been with anybody else. I love him, the sex is great, and we have talked about getting married before next year. I work at this convience store night shift, last week this black guy came in, bought some stuff, stayed and talked untill I got busy with some other customers, then he left. A few nights later he came back, he seemed like a nice guy, he told funny stories, he said he was 26 and was city cop. Since then he's been back each night, and started asking if I had ever wanted or been with a black. At first this put me off, but friday before I left for work me and my boyfriend had had a fight, at about 9:pm the black guy came in as before and stayed around. Just before quitting time my boyfriend called and said he couldn't come and pick me up I would have to call a cab. I was pissed and told the black guy and he said no problem I can take you home. So I left work with him, and to make a long story short, I ended up having sex with him. I havn't seen my boyfriend since friday, and the black guy hasn't came around since either. When we had sex he said he would use a condom, but after it was over I found out he hadn't. Now I don't know what to do, I don't want to lose my boyfriend, I don't know how things can get so messed up so easy.

Okay, first off, what does the fact that you slept with a black man as opposed to anyone else have anything to do with it? Does this some how make the situation worse for you? I don't get it.

Anyway...what you did could have been very, very dangerous for you. Never assume that just because some guy tells you that he's a cop, he actually is. He could have driven you off into the woods and murdered you. Did he show you his badge? Do you know what a real cop badge looks like? Sounds to me that he was simply trying to get into your pants and to gain your trust, he told you he was a cop. I sincerely doubt that you will ever see him again.

Having said that, I would head on over to the nearest clinic and take an HIV test. DO NOT sleep with your boyfriend in the meantime until you recieve your test results. I'd take a pregnancy test as well, just to be on the safe side.

Once all those worries are taken care of, you have two options. You can come clean with your boyfriend and confess to what you did. Or, you can chalk it up to experience, put it behind you and NEVER, EVER take such risks again. I would do the latter...no reason to screw things up with your boyfriend unnecessarily.

Good luck and I hope all works out for you. Take care of yourself!

How did you not notice he wasn't wearing a condom? Girl, it is YOUR job to check that he's got his salami saran-wrapped!

It's not called things getting "messed up so easy" for a start .. It's called "you complicated things for yourself !" if anything , it's logic that , just because you had an argument with your boyfriend/prospective husband that , it doesn't warrant going out & cheating on him ! NEVER act -
