Got married at 18 to my "best friend". Found out a few months later that he was bisexual, I guess. He cried, said he could give up men. Tried to make it work for two years. Then, I learned that he was meeting guys in the park when he said he was working late. Got a divorce. Started drinking heavy. Had blackouts. Woke up with strangers. Drove car into ditch and cut open my forehead. Had to go to rehab. Took a friend of the family up on an offer to stay in his Idaho cabin when I got out of rehab. Went up there in October with a cat from the local pound. By November, I was feeling odd. I had gas pains all the time and was gaining weight. But I've always been a big girl. I was 200 lbs in 9th grade. In Feb, felt so sick one day with stomach cramps that I couldn't get out of bed. Around two am felt a huge gush of fluid. At first, I thought I'd peed byself or had watery diarhea. Then, the cramps started getting closer together and I realized "Oh, shit. I'm in labor." No phone. No way I could drive. Around 9 the next morning I started pushing and gave birth to a girl. Rested for a couple hours. Then I wrapped her up good, put her in a cardboard box on the floor of the truck and drove into town. Went straight to the gas station and said call an ambulance. Daughter and I are fine now, but I didn't know I was pregnant until I was in labor.

Wow, that's kinda scary. That happened to someone my sister knew too. Not the whole story, but the pregnancy part. I think she figured it out before the baby was born though.

And all those months you had no periods and still had no clue. Hellooooooooo!!!! Know how to spell, "doctor?" How about "checkup?"

My periods have always been irregular (sometimes 4-5 months without a period). Also, living outside a small town that only had a doctor visit once a week. Going to the doctor in the next town was a two hour drive each way. Plus, no health insurance. Gaining 30 lbs when you already weigh 200 is not exactly alarming.

Yeah, there are alot of different things that can cause your period to stop. And, just so you know, it's possible for a woman to be pregnant and still get her period.
