I love her, I'm not going to neglect her, but I hate this.
Dump the tit leech on relatives and split.
you played, so now you pay, she's not the one at fault, you are, get the other person involved and raise her up to amount to something, you owe her.
Having a baby does mean you have to give up the rest of you life. i know it's hard in the first few years being stuck in the house but don't resent her for it, don't blame her for your situation.
Once she's old enough for school or you find a suitable day care centre you'll have the chance to go back to work or study or whatever you want she wont be so dependant forever.
make sure your partners is taking care of his responsibilities and if he's not around then (as one of the other posters said) keep your family near.
you might have postnatal depression (it's surprisingly common) in that case you should see a doctor and talk about your feelings cause they're there to help. I think there's probably some phone lines you can call too, depending on where you live.
just remember that raising kids well can be one of the most valuable things you'll ever do, and having kids will only enrich your life in the long term. think of how proud you'll be when she's taking her first steps and after that when she's making her way in the world.
i hope you get the support you need and good luck.
sorry i meant *doesn't* have to mean giving up the rest of your life.
I totally agree. I have three children, ages 7, 3 and 1 and I know how difficult it is. My wife is a nurse and works just about every Saturday, so I work five days and then have three young kids to care for, all day (and all night) as my wife is at work 24 straight hours. I just ran the New York City Marathon two weeks ago. I swear that completing that event was not as difficult as a typical Saturday in my home. But you get through it. There are times I wish I had stopped at two children, that my wife forced the third on us and now I have more than I can handle. But when I hold my young daughter, I don't know what I would do without her. Make sure you have as much balance in your life as you can. I don't know how old you are, (I'm 38), but if you are considerably younger, you may resent the fact that your peers in their twenties are having fun while your're taking care of a small child. My bar-hopping days are long over, so I don't miss that part of my life. But there are times I want to take off on my motorcycle (I know, I'm a fool for riding one of those with small kids), or join a buddy to go to the Jets game or just spend time with my wife. And you can't. This is all part of being a parent, but I agree totally with the previous poster. Get the support you need and enjoy your family. At the end of the day, it truly doesn't matter where you live, what you drive or what you do for a living. I would rather be remembered for being a good husband and father than for any other accomplishment. Good luck.
seems bad now but things will get better. Stay strong.
