I don't know why I'm sad. I'm intelligent, I've got good friends, I've never hurt myself. I guess I am just depressed. I'm never truly happy.

I recently developed a writer's block and now one of my past times that I have always enjoyed is barred from me by my own useless mind. And even my art has been lacking, which use to be one thing that could cheer me up. Now it just makes me feel worthless. Nothing I create ever seems beautiful to me. It's all just overly bolded lines and crude figures.

Sometimes I think I'm selfish for being so cynical about life. There are people out there starving to death that have more faith than I do. I feel like I'm drowning myself, cutting off my air supply while I fall deeper and deeper until I go blind.

I feel fat. Ugly. Disgusting.

Needless.

Disposable.

I know from personal experience that people with an artistic bent often struggle with depression. I've had to get medicated for depression and anxiety disorder; if it doesn't get better, perhaps you should see your doctor, and ask him/her if you have symptoms. In the mean time, don't give up on your writing - even if it isn't up to the quality you expect from yourself, your art can still be very theraputic.

Try masturbation. It feels good and doesn't cost any money.
