- I Hate My Neighbor -

MY NEIGHBORS ALWAYS SEEM TO BE THE LOUDEST EVERY FLIPPIN TIME I HAVE TO GO TO SLEEP EARLY WHEN I HAVE AN EXAM OR HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 4AM FOR MY 2 DAY A WEEK JOB.
ONE NIGHT THEY STARTED HAVING SEX, AND THE "WOMAN" WAS SCREAMING "FUCK ME, FUCK ME"
WHAT IN THE SAM HELL, IT CANT BE THAT GOOD.
IM SO SICK OF THESE ASSHOLES
WHEN I MOVE OUT, IM LEAVING AN ALARM CLOCK IN MY BEDROOM SET FOR 4AM AND IM GOING TO LEAVE IT THERE, SO MAYBE IT CAN WAKE THEM UP, AND THEY WONT BE ABLE TO DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT.
CANT WAIT FOR THAT MOMENT, CANT COME SOON ENOUGH.

Why did you type your rant in caps? Were you trying to indicate screams of frustrated rage or did you just forget to depress the caps lock key? Inquiring minds want to know.
Because surely you must know that this too shall pass. They'll move out or you'll move to another place. Compared to war, disease and famine your problem with your noisy neighbors is a day at Disneyland.
Yes, this site is for those who hate their neighbors but think a moment and you'll realize that your neighbors are human, just like you. They have their dreams, disappointments and aspirations just like you do. To paraphrase the Merchant of Venice, if you cut them do they not bleed?
The problems lies less with your neighbors' noise than in the substandard construction of your dwelling. If it were properly insulated and noise-proofed you couldn't hear your neighbors if they were being run through a wood-chipper while still alive. It's true. I tried it.

I am not the OP but I have the same kinds of problems with my neighbors. I'm in a duplex and when I moved in the neighbors were a couple with a 3 year old and an infant. Their kids were 5 and almost 3 when they moved out. For the 2 years I lived next to them, I almost NEVER heard them.

The bitch that now rents the other side of the duplex has 2 kids ages 3 and 5 and I hear them CONSTANTLY. They run up and down the stairs (right next to my bedroom wall) until nearly midnight. They yell and cry a lot. The little girl has the most ear-piercing squeal I've ever heard. Then they leave at 6:15 in the morning and the mom can't be quiet to save her life. Her driveway is right outside my bedroom window and she constantly gets into her car and is always beeping the damn horn. The boyfriend is almost always over and I can hear them fighting through the walls. More than once I've considered calling the police to report a domestic dispute.

I've always tried to be a very considerate neighbor, but last night I allowed my son to have 4 friends stay the night and I let them stay UP all night. I didn't get much sleep because they were loud as hell, but not once did I tell them to quiet down because I wanted my neighbors to SUFFER!!!

So, in response to the person who replied to the OP, how do I soundproof my walls so that I don't have to listen to my neighbors? My landlords offered to let me out of my lease... for $2500! They did ask the neighbor to quiet down once but she bitched them out so I guess they aren't going to do anything more about it. How do I soundproof my bedroom window so I don't have to hear the damn car all the time?

I have 6 months left on my lease and since I can't afford to get out of it, what do I do to be able to relax while I am stuck next to these assholes?

Constantly call the cops on her for disturbing the peace. When they or her kids get to loud turn them in. And if her LITTLE children are still out that late at night I would call CPS on her. Call the authorities enough they will get tired of having to respond to her misbehavings they will at some point arrest her or charge her fines.
