You say they JUST moved in, but already you've complained to the landlord, and had the cops there, I take it you don't work, but just set around looking for sombody to complain about.
ACTUALLY I never capitalized "JUST" my just was indicative that they are more recent tenants. And as for me sitting around complaining, AS IF you don't have designated hours in your daily life to SLEEP.And they are not waking ME UP, they are waking my SON UP!!!So FUCK YOU.
Hey, I'd let you, but it might wake your kid up, and then you'd go off the deep end again.
We all want to vent. We all have a problem or two, but when it comes right down to brass tacks, what can you really do about this situation? Be real about it. You wished them all dead. Unless you have plans, that ain't gonna happen...they're not going to move. So what can you do? Really. All bullshit aside. Do you have any reasonable, mature thoughts on how you can co-exist with these folks? How about trading units? Have them downstairs so you don't hear them banging around all night. Get a grip. Make it work. Good luck.
Hi.
I know the feeling well having once lived above a madman who would pound his ceiling (I assume with a broom handle or the like) during the middle of the night amongst other times.
He was an old guy whom I could not reason with under any circumstances and could find no reason or solution to his periods of madness which also affected others in the building.
The social services were useless and did nothing, he had sworn at police officers through his letterbox when we called them and they also did nothing.
So in sheer desperation we manufactured a police case against him, with witnessess, saying that he had threatened us with a knife.
We went to court and a restraining order was made against him also a 3 month prison sentence suspended for 2 years.
The harrassment stopped that day and we heard no more from him.
We know it was wrong and un-Christian to do that but it worked and we lived peacefully after that.
Anybody who lives upstairs is going to be noisy. It's hard not to be noisy. They'd end up having to walk on the tip toes to keep from being noisy. That's just how apartments are, get over it.
