Last year we bought a house in a nice housing edition. Had we known what was next door we never would have bought in here. Our neighbors are a young married couple who have 5 dogs, 4 of which are chained up in the back yard, and 2 cats. The four outdoor dogs constantly escape, fight, and bark. The owners never bathe them, walk them, or clean up the dog mess and don't feed them every day. They often go away for three or four days at a time and don't have anyone looking after the dogs. They let their purebred "indoor" dog crap on our lawn and let it chase after whomever it wants. Their latest escapade is they've taken to disciplining the dogs by pointing an air rifle at them. They also own 6 cars. Only two of them are decent. The other 4 are old junkers. They were yelled at for parking one on their front lawn so they parked it in the back. Their latest is an old pickup with no muffler on it that they rev to impress their buddies and cruise around the neighborhood in despite the fact that it isn't registered. It is so loud we can't hear our television over it and that's with all the windows closed. They also literally peel out of their driveway and drive down the street like they're doing a lap at NASCAR. He also has a piece of crap Mistubishi Eclipse that he enters in car shows. He's got an incredibly loud stereo in it that he blasts all hours of the day and night and a car alarm in it that it so sensitive, it goes off when frost forms on the car. It also goes off for literally hours at a time either early in the morning or late at night but fails to wake them up. They only mow their lawn when the grass is over a foot deep and they've removed the muffler from their lawnmower so that also makes enough noise to wake the dead. They lately installed a cheap above ground pool but didn't level the ground so it leans. They never run the filter, cover it, or swim in it for that matter, so it's bound to become a mosquito breeding ground. Their latest escapade is they've put posts and string up in their yard to put up a fence. We built a fence in May and put it a lawnmower's width back from the property line. Even though we told them we were doing this, they got really pissy with us about it. We paid to have a survey done on our lawn. Well they have decided to install their fence on the line where our survey was done. They've actually painted our survey stake on the ground to make sure we don't move it and take any of "their land." They've actually got the back corner post an inch or so on our land so we can no longer mow back there and they've painted a huge X on the ground so if we move the stake, they'll know. In the meantime, they have an electric shocker dog fence which is actually about 6" inches on our property line. They've not gotten their plans approved and we have sewage lines running through all of our back yards so they're likely to hit one of those too. So far they've had the sheriff called on them twice for the car alarm going off, they've had the Dept. of Health out twice for the dog crap and Animal Control has been out at least 6 times. The builders have warned them repeatedly about violating the restrictive covenant they signed when they bought the house. We have also talked to them several times about some of the problems but they just don't understand why everyone in the neighborhood seems so angry with them. They're in the Air Force (as are most of the people in the neighborhood) so we're hoping at some point they either get orders overseas or foreclosed on since they seem to be living beyond their income. For now, their dogs keep us up all hours of the night and our house is basically unsellable because we live next to the biggest piles of stupid white trash on the planet. Believe it or not, they actually have the balls to complain about everyone else.

Want to live here then asshole? Last night the dogs woke us up at 4:30 and 6:00 with their constant barking at NOTHING and then Moron decided to mow outside our bedroom window at 8:00 AM with the mower that doesn't have a muffler. It's Saturday and to top it off my husband is recovering from having surgery. So if you think I'm bitching needlessly...you can come buy my house and live next to these thoughtless stupid jerk offs. Otherwise, mind your own business and go fuck yourself!! (I can be a real "bitch bitch bitch" if I have to be.

If you can find out what command they are in, I would contact them; my husband is military and BELIEVE me, when other service members do illegal things (underage drinking) they get their asses in trouble....just a thought.

You seem to have documented most of their transgressions. Here's a thought: report them to your local zoning board. they can't infringe on your property line. If they have animals that are being abused or neglected, report them to your local animal control officer. They drive an unregistered vehicle? Tell the cops. noise complaints? Same thing. Tell the cops.
You have the right to the peaceful enjoyment of your property. If their pool is a breeding ground for mosquitos and their unmowed lawn invites lyme disease-carrying ticks and other health threats, report them.
Yes, this requires some effort on your part, but the law is on your side. Document with photos, video and audio recording. If you receive written or telephone threats, save them as evidence. You have the power to put a stop to their crap. They're hoping uou're too lazy or too intimidated to do anything about it.

Don't let rude assholes like #2658 and your neighbors get you down.
If they are in the military, then it's only a matter of time until they are transferred. You are doing the right thing by calling all the government agencies that protect the rights of animals and other neighbors.
Catch the wandering dog and take it to the Humane Society or another agency that are non-euthanasia. It deserves to have a good home. If the neighbors have to pay to bail it out, well TOO BAD for them. If you can catch the others, do that too.
You have to keep at neighbors like this, otherwise they will wear down you and your property values.
Eventually the neighbors will have to pay to keep up their obligations of home and animal ownership. Perhaps they'll grow up, or find that they aren't as "free" as they thought to do whatever they want, and move to another neighborhood that tolerates such behavior.

And you never saw any of that when you looked at the property you bought, bullshit.
