I hate my neighbor. He walks like an elephant. He stomps around everytime he walks - it shakes my furniture when he walks. I can also hear him having sex every friday and saturday night - geeze buddy - you and the girl are in a rut. No consideration. He has used my yard to throw beer cans in many times - he sucks sucks sucks!!!! I SO want to key his car!!!!!!

Talk to him politely. Say something like, "Just thought you'd like to know that the crappy construction of the building lets every sound go through the walls and floor. Have you noticed? Can you hear me through your floor? Well, I can hear you and *ahem* can even hear your conversations with your girlfriend." This should make him wonder what ELSE you hear and possibly he will quiet down a bit. In fact, he might be so embarrassed to know what he's doing that he won't be able to get it up next weekend!
In a week or so, thank him for quieting down. If he does. If he doesn't, repeat part of a conversation to him just so he knows you can hear him.
If he doesn't quiet down after that, go to the management and at least you will be able to say that you talked to him nicely. And it will be true! Tell them that you pay to have a place to live that should be at least minimally quiet. You deserve it.
Just give the guy a chance first before you decide to do something drastic. He might not even know. He might even hear YOU on Saturday nights! ;-)

Key his car. Yes indeedy, that'll how the botton-feeders cope with life's little difficulties. Why discuss your concerns with your elephantine neighbor like an adult when you can act like a 12-year-old and deface his possessions? (That's sarchasm, in case you didn't catch on.)

He said he felt like keying his the guys car. He never said he would do it. WHY IS IT WRONG TO SAY YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING BAD?! Is it not normal to WANT to do something to someone who has harmed you? It is the assholes who really do it.

I say record him having sex and play it back for him sometime. Send a copy to his girlfriend. At her work would be really mean.

Record the sounds for the manager.

WHY ARE YOU TYPING IN ALL CAPS? IS IT THE EQUIVALENT OF SHOUTING? ARE YOU MAKING AN IMPASSIONED POINT BECAUSE YOU FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT AN INDIVIDUAL'S RIGHT IN A FREE SOCIETY TO THINK ALL MANNER OF EVIL AND VENGEFUL (AND FRANKLY, QUITE CHILDISH) WAYS TO GET BACK AT THOSE WHO IRRITATE AND ENRAGE US? Or are your stumpy, troglodyte digits unable to use a keyboard without accidentally engaging the Caps Lock key?
Please tell me. I'd really like to know.
So, by your logic, it's entirely proper for me to THINK I'd like to go to your house wielding a chainsaw, a flamethrower, an Uzi and all manner of death-dealing implements and sharp pointy things, torture your family and pets and steal all your Pokemon cards?
Is that it, you slack-jawed, mouth-breathing, knuckle-walker?

Hi - I wrote the confession - I would never actually key the car - plus - we own our condos so management refuses to get involved with noise complaints - my only recourse is filing a police complaint - also - these people that live above me - they knowingly throw beer cans in my yard...you really think intelligent conversation is going to work with them?

Try making friends with others that might be affected by his noise. Where we live, it takes a minimum of two complaints for the noise abatement department to even come out to do anything. Since we live right next door to our offending neighbors (the damn dog barks for hours on end and the deaf bitch on valium is too stoned to care even if she could hear) and there's no other close neighbors, I'm stuck with the noise.
One thing I've tried is to record the noise and play it when she has her rare family visiting. Finally one of the family members took the hint and did something about training the dog to stop barking.
So if you can get some others to support you in the noise complaint, that could help. You have a right to live in peaceful enjoyment of your home.
Good luck.
