I was mistaken... again.

You see, I came to "I hate my Neighbor" because I thought this was a place where people came to vent about low-life neighbors who have no respect for the quality of life of those who live around them. What I've found, to what i guess shouldn't be my surprise, is the same low-life people bitching about how the higher quality neighbors will not tolerate their being trailer trash. example: "Oh how terrible it is, that the old bastard next door demands I not park my pickup on the front porch!"

So once again, in my search for things nice I find that MOST people, while they work hard to buy nice things, work just as hard to make sure things are not nice. Most people are more confortable living in trash and will fight to the death to keep their dead grass, dead cars, trashy animals, cigarettes, pickup trucks, toothless wives and all the rest of the things they enjoy so much.

Man, you have some real issues. What kind of neighborhood do you live in?

Hello. Well of course I have issues. No one would post here if he didn't. It is a very interesting neighborhood. About 75 houses. There is a homeowners association but it's more of a sort of high school clique than a group that's concerned with the neighborhood. In fact I know for a fact they have not interested in how nice the neighborhood is. Like most people they just want to eat, sleep, and pass gas. Hence the reason for the original post... It wouldn't surprise me if it turned into a outright cult where they have candlelight meetings devoted to group masterbation. This "association" is made up of about 8 households. They act almost as if they have an open phone line to each other. This would be okay, i'd like not to care what they do, except they seem to be clustered around my house making it hard to ignore. They elect each other president, vice president, secretary etc. just like this little club were required by a deed restriction. I feel I could solve my entire problem (and I fully understand this is **my problem**, okay!?) just by moving one street over. They publish a cute little newsletter each quarter. They place this thing on everybody's door. Therein they talk all about the wonderful things that the 8 households have done in the past quarter and who was robbed etc. They make me feel like I have zero privacy. Every morning they meet each other on the street and go for a stroll. I don't know what they talk about but feel they are going over all the scuttlebutt from around the 'hood that when on since the last morning stroll. They cluster down at the corner in a little circle like a bunch of old farts in the park somepalce. I imagine them telling all about who outside the clique is getting divorced, who is dying, who is rich or poor, got the new car, is on a trip. You know, all the little tidbits that really are nobody's god damn business. So again, I feel like I have zero privacy. So yes, I realize I have "issues."

Hi there,
What I would do is start going to the meetings and join in on the board.
All organizations are looking for more people to help out and I'm sure after you attend some meetings they will be asking you to accept a position at the next election.
Once your foot is in the door of the board they have to listen to your comments.
Good Luck!

PS I totally agree about your comment about this site-most people are rude and seem to get pissed off when good neighbors with REAL complaints voice their opinions on here.
