ok, i just got off the phone with my sister in Nevada {she's a big shot manager} and she was telling me about a male employee that tried to get off of work because his new born died. she said hes also making more errors and alwys sulking around the place, everyone things hes putting it on and she wants to fire him! i told her that men do suffer in pain when a new born dies in this case the guy is single and seperated from the mother by her choice when she was pregnant. shes also seeing another guy and didnt hardly visit her newborn in the hospital after they let her out and kept the baby in [premie}. the dad visit the baby almost everyday and after a month they told him he could take the baby home. he baught all kinds of baby stuff that week and them ...bam... the baby died two days before he was to take him hom.

get this, this guy is also alone he has no family because he came here from another country when he was little. i told my sister they should not judge him and look at his life, his heart is obviously broken and now he really has noone not even that baby he wanted. i really think he is feeling the pain. i have a hard time expressing my feelings so anyone want to help me put this in better words to explain to her? i know I dont know him and maybe i should not care but i just cant help it for some reason, shes my sister but i dont think shes being fair jsut because hes a man, he needs his job as well as help. am i wrong at this? thanks

Poor guy. You are right about this, maybe you should try to tell your sister by giving her examples using your self. Like telling her that you would be the same way if you lost everything like he did. Just keep trying to convince her to give him some time too get himself together. Hope this helps a little.

That is really sad, I really feel for the guy. Can he take a leave from work for a grieving period? Also, some companies have employee programs that provide counseling; maybe this can be an option for him? One other idea is that he go to a support group.

I'd tell your sister she is being a bit of a jerk. Guys greive the loss of children too. she might get herself in a serious lawsuit if she fires him for greiving for his child.

Most woman are like that when they get promoted, we had one like that, she turned into a cunt the day after she got the promotion, and got worse from there.
