Back around 1980 after I got my license, I became the proud owner of a 1971 VW Bettle. It had torn seats and a little rust around the fenders but it was MY car. My Granny had been letting me do odd jobs trying to raise the cash to buy a car and I cruised over to her house to take her for a ride.
