My husband and I just bought a new house last week and decided to celebrate by finally throwing away our birth control and trying to have a baby.

Today, while packing, I came across some papers that had fallen underneath the drawer of my husband's desk into the desk itself. To my shock, one was a letter to my husband from a sperm bank in the city where he went to college. According to the letter, they declined to accept his sperm. It didn't say why.

I know my husband didn't have AIDS/HIV or any sexually transmitted diseases because we were tested before marrying two years ago. I looked up the sperm bank and it's not for geniuses or anything. So why did they reject him?

I can't help think he must have some kind of genetic condition that he's kept hidden.

Should I confront him with this?

Yes. Ask him why that happened, but don't be confrontational about it.

He may have had a low count, or poor motility.
Not much use for donation.
Easy to jump to conclusions, why don't you ask him?
He may be very touchy about it so be careful.

Of course; first because he's your husband and if you don't something like that will haunt you for a long long time, and second what if he's like an alien and gets you pregnant. Wouldn't you rather adopt then spend the rest of your life raising an alien being with 2 heads and 6 arms !!
