Neighbors - we all have them, whether they live a mile away or just on the other side of a paper-thin wall. So, they're your neighbors, and you have to try to be civil. Or do you? - I Hate My Neighbor -

I live in a block of flats and my neighbours have recently taken to playing very loud music at 4' o clock in the morning (with all their windows open - ensuring maximum blast from stereo to wake me up). This morning was the worst yet (Weds morning), particularly because I had a job interview in the morning.

I knocked on their door for ten minutes and got no reply, the music just got louder - ignorant twats.

So what can i do - I thought about this solidly for the next two hours while the music was still blaring. I came up with these options:

Go for a diddle in a sanwiche bag and post it through the door (possible)

Burn a newspaper and post it through their door (possible but dangerous to everyonre inc me - could involve a long prison sentence)

Post a dog poo (possible)

But I have decided on an alternative which actually took me the rest of the day to scheme. I have reported it to the council, who are now writing to them saying a neighbour has complained about the noise (they won't know which as there is 8 of us in the block) - I have also ordered a batch of six stink bombs over the internet. So there you have it next time they wake me at a ridiculous hour in the week the stink bombs go through the window.

Also looking for other ideas that i can get away with - pls reply

    My asshole neighbor has served us with a "Private Person's Order of Arrest" because she claims our dogs bark all day and all night. This is a total lie because our dogs are in the house all night, every night from about 8:00 pm then I let them in and out during the day starting at about 8:30 am. They OCCASSIONALLY bark when they see or hear something but if they bark every five or ten minutes I let them in for several hours. My daughter was living at our house with a newborn baby who didn't have any trouble sleeping -- so obviously there wasn't very much moise from the dogs. I want to get even. I'm mad as hell but I don't want to get in trouble. What can I do about their lies and how can I get even? Any suggestions?

    It's funny, my mother and brothers all have the knack of befriending their neighbors- they have block parties, and have them over for dinner.
    Not me- i'm a private person, I want nothing to do with my neighbors- i don't want their friendship, I don't even want to know their names.
    I'm having issues with the 300 pound woman one apt above me- i'm a very quite tennant, but she can hear my tv at night, and has come down to bang on my door 3 times. ..I hear her stomping her elephant feet as she walks accross her floor, yet I have never complained....
    My family members told me I should be apologetic and nice, or she may raise a stink with the landlord...Should i grit my teeth and make nice? I really hate this woman- I am very courtious if and when i pass her and her chubby chaser boyfriend- i always say hello- But they scowel at me....
    I don't want to do anything that will jeapordize my living here, as i have a cushy deal with rent...Should I kiss my scum neighbors ass?

    I hate my upstairs neighbors.
    I live in a 3 floor apt builing in Boston, the neighbors above me are as**les. When i pass them, I say hello- They ignore me and scowl. I keep my tv volume at a low level, but the walls and floors are thin, and if the fat woman upstairs hears ANY sound coming from my apt, she comes down and bangs on my door. This building was nice and quiet until she moved in...I can't stand her, or her loser boyfriend..They are just very very unfriendly- and I have bent over backwards trying to be nice to them..

    My fiance and I recently just moved into a side-by-side duplex. From the start it has been miserable living next to a bunch of ganster-like punks. Every time we think things cant get worse, they do. For instance, we pay $60 in parking monthly while they pay nothing in parking because they have no cars. However, when they decide to throw huge parties, they allow their guests to park in the driveway blocking us in overnight and sometimes all day. We have started to park our cars at the end of the driveway to prevent anyone else from parking in OUR driveway THAT WE PAY FOR. The neighbor punk bitched about it and we told him that if his friend's were going to park in the driveway we pay for, then his friend's need to pay up. He agreed and what do you know: no one paid. So back to square one. Now this is just part of the situation. Their parties are out of hand. They have strange people over who potentially carry weapons and drugs. They play guitar hero and music extremely loud to the early hours of the morning-so loud we can hear word for word in our bedroom at night. Then everyone smokes in that side of the duplex. The scent drifts through to our half and our home smells. Not to mention we can barely open the windows in the summer because the smoke comes in even more. We are unsure what to do next. The landlord seems too careless to take action. The next step may be calling the police department but we are afraid they will retaliate. We just want to get out of this place! AND we have 8 months left in our lease!

    I hate my neighbors so much!!!! I bought a very nice apartement 3 years ago but since i did it i've almost never been able to have a decent night sleep. Everything is pretty quiet during the day but every night they talk loud, they laugh loud, they never turn down the tv sound... We've tried talk to the them and it didn't work and the police doesn't care about it either. I don't know what to do and i'm going mad because i can't sleep! Eveytime that we get angry because of their noise things get even worst. I swear that one of this days i'm gonna do something stupid.

    She was ok for about the first year, then she became pregnant. She's only about 23 yrs. old and thinks she knows it all. (examples, telling me how to take care of my kid when I didn't even ask for her advice, how much I weighed/lossed lbs etc.) I usually just overlooked her comments. I tried to be friendly esp. with her husband away in the military. Well she really pissed me off one day. I told her about a child sex offender on our block. I only did it to protect her child because he started walking to work past our houses. I asked her not to spread it around because I didn't know if he was convicted yet and he was moving anyway in a month or so. (No other kids to worry about on the block) She thanked me for telling her and said the sex offender kid gave her the creeps anyway. Well, for two days things were peaceful and quiet. Then she came over to my house and DEMANDED to know how I knew and who told me this information. I told her it was none of her business. Then she accused me of starting a rumor mill and she didn't want any part of it. I told her we weren't in high school anymore and I have no reason to start rumors! She said she scoured the internet trying to find out about this guy and could not find any information on him. I told her it was because the sex offender was under 18 yrs old and they wouldn't post that info on the net and I didn't know if he was convicted yet! She proceeded to tell me that she only works with FACTS AND FIGURES and this was not computing with her. Well I find that funny because a few days before she told me the sex offender gave her the creeps. Sounds like an emotional response to me!?! Anyway I always ignore her when she is outside or go inside whatever I can do to be away from her. I can't stand her the sucky thing is our daughters are close in age. I will just have to keep my daughter away.

    Next door: Do you have pee evertime I do? Do you have to crash your toilet seat everytime you use it?

    Diagonal: Shut your damn dog up or I'll scream! That dog barks at it's own shadow. And for gawdssakes, don't leave it out on the balcony when your gone! Called the police, didn't do any good.

    ... I want a house out in the middle of NOWHERE with no one around!

    I hate my neighbors their rich and they have three of the brattiest kids ever. they let their kids do what ever they want, they buy them whatever they want including guns. They each have very high powered pellet guns a four wheeler, ski-doo, paintball guns. the kids are 13, 11 and 7 years old and they are allowed to drive cars on the road. my family doesn't have alot of money and they treat us like shit because of it. their loud, the kids are always outside screaming and shooting birds. i hardly ever go outside anymore because of them, it's just easy to stay in then have the parents always making fun of my clothes and stuff cause i can't afford expensive things. i hate them so much.
